Who I am, what Aruvale is, and where it honestly stands today.

Hello, and welcome. I'm Arudael. In the old songs I made this world; in this one I'm building it.

Aruvale grew out of a few moments I couldn't stop thinking about: rolling out of a red telegraph with a sliver of health left, a zone full of strangers dropping everything to hold off something huge, and a quiet wish that the world would notice I'd been there. So I'm making an MMO with combat you play with your feet, a voxel world that remembers what you do to it, and grouping without the friction.

Honestly, it's pre-alpha. One valley is playable on my machine: a priory in a hollow, a village across a bridge, and an old mine where the blight first breaks through. Combat, quests and digging work, and every screenshot on this site comes straight from that build. Plenty is still rough.

I use modern tools wherever they help, and I hold everything in the world to one bar: it has to feel made by hand.

The closed alpha opens in early 2027. From November, this dev log is where I'll show what I built, what broke and what I learned.

See you in the valley.
